I turned 18 yesterday, after what seems like an eternity (it does get rather problematic when ALL of your friends you go out with hit 18 2-1 years before you).

Not too bothered about the birthday, since I don't drink, have no need to learn to drive yet (gonna be living in London for the next 4 years, car won't be needed), and I can't vote in my country of birth nor my country of residence due to pathetic bureaucracy and weird residency laws.

BUT my mum got me a sewing machine. A real nice one, not the most expensive, but the one I had is a kids machine that does 2 types of straight and zigzag stitches. That's all. Anyone who knows about my relationship with my mum knows that is a BIG step since despite sewing herself she's been against me doing it (mostly for cosplay reasons). She took me out to buy fabric. Got me a new sewing book, box thing to sort all my stuff, a book on embroidery. It was great <3 And I thought my big birthday present was going to be a new pair of rollerblades, hahaha.

So, I'm currently trying to find a cosplay that needs decent work but that wouldn't freak my mum out or that she wouldn't find weird so I can actually do some decent sewing over the holidays. I have a month and a half before I move to my new place, and between moving and my next con, there's just about a month. SEE HOW I NEED TO MAKE MY MIND UP? I've watched, read, and played so much that I can't think of anything, my mind goes blank whenever I try to think of a character.
So, here it comes... ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYONE?
Also, if I don't know the original source of the character well and I like the design, I'll only cosplay them after I experience the source material and actually enjoy the character, don't worry.

Mashiro from Bleach and Hetalia's Switzerland are also currently in process <3 Mashiro is on hold because I'm having all my stuff for her sent to England, and Switzerland just needs a wig and a rifle.
